We Were On Break By Lindsey Kelk

About The Author

The author of the novel We Were On Break is Lindsey Kelk.

Lindsey Kelk is a journalist and she is also a writer. She was born in the United Kingdom but now lives in Los Angeles.

Story Line Of The Novel.

The novel tells a story about Liv and Adam who have been dating for years.

Liv is a veterinarian at her father’s surgery and Adam studied law but dropped out of university and he is now a full-time carpenter.

Adam had been planning to ask Liv for a hand marriage for some time and he decided that he had to do it on their vacation in Mexico.

Liv is excited to learn that her boyfriend is going to propose her in Mexico. She hears this from her friend Cass who is Adam ‘s sister in law.

When they went for their holiday in Mexico, Liv was hoping Adam would pop the question unfortunately that did not happen.

Adam is nervous to ask Liv to marry her.

On their last day in Mexico, everything went wrong and they end up leaving Mexico without any engagement.

On their arrival at home, Adam leaves Liv at her house and tell her he wants a break.

Liv is left confused about everything and doesn’t know what to think of Adam.

I will not spoil it for you by revealing what happens next.

What I Thought About This Novel

This novel is well written, it’s easy to read with lots of comedy and drama.

I love the way the writer used two narrators something you don’t see in most novels.

The storyline of this novel is very believable, both the main and secondary characters in this novel are so real.

I really enjoy the funny moments that the writer highlights in this novel.

This is the first novel by Lindsey Kelk that I have read, I am looking forward to reading more novels from this author.

A must read for someone who likes novels full of drama, comedy.

I highly recommend this novel to any one who likes to read novels on relationships.
