Visiting an aquarium is a great way to connect with nature and explore sea-life creature. We recently visited Birmingham sea life aquarium and I shared our experience here.
In this article, I will be sharing tips for saving money when visiting an aquarium.
1. Entry Tickets
Save money on your entry tickets by using 2 for 1 entry voucher they are usually found on Kellogg’s cereal boxes or on some branded chocolates during a certain time of the year.
If you are traveling by train the national rail gives out the 2 for 1 entry voucher for free.
2. Use Store Vouchers
Check to see if you can exchange any Tesco club card vouchers for entry tickets for visiting the aquarium before purchasing tickets.
3. Buy Your Parking Ticket In Advance
4. If you are traveling by car, try to buy your parking ticket in advance as it works out cheaper than buying on the day.
In addition, you will also have peace of mind knowing that you will find a parking space reserved just for you at the aquarium.
4. Save Money On Food.
Avoid eating food at the restaurants near the aquarium as they tend to be more expensive. Try to go find restaurants away from the aquarium as they tend to charge a fair price for the food.
Making you own homemade sandwiches, snacks and bring your own drinks this will help you to save more money.
5. Avoid The Long Queues.
3. Buy your ticket in advance and have a printed copy to avoid the long queues especially if you are going during their peak period which is usually summer time.
6. Visit During Off-Peak Times.
Avoid visiting the aquarium during the peak time which is usually in summer holidays, bank holidays and weekends. Many people plan their visit during this time.
If you decide to go during the peak time your experience of the visit will just be like that of someone traveling in London underground tube train on a weekday during 4 pm and 6 pm.
7. Enjoy Your Visit
Take your time when you are inside don’t rush and enjoy the wonderful sea creatures.
